Temecula, California (January 8, 2021) – One person was hospitalized with major injuries after being involved in a head-on collision in Temecula Friday morning.
The major injury crash took place at approximately 9:15 a.m. on De Portola Road at Via Verde.
The California Highway Patrol did not immediately establish how a Chevrolet pickup truck crashed head-on with a Honda Civic in the morning hours.
Due to the impact, the two cars overturned into an Edison power pole on the dirt shoulder, and one person was pinned in one of them.
De Portola Road Car Accident Results in Major Injuries
The trapped victim was extricated and rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center with major injuries.
Limited details about the wreck were released at the time of the report.
Meanwhile, officials requested a tow truck to remove both automobiles away from the crash site.
