TemeculaCalifornia (March 5, 2021) –Temecula accident involving two vehicles Wednesday afternoon seriously injured one person, the Riverside County Fire Department reported.

The major injury crash happened at the intersection of Margarita and Winchester roads at approximately 3:50 p.m.

The circumstances that led to the collision at the intersection just east of Interstate 15 were not immediately established at the time of the report.

Due to the impact, one person was pinned in the wreckage.

The trapped driver was extricated by firefighters and was rushed to Inland Valley Medical Center in Wildomar for treatment of serious injuries. The unidentified patient was listed in stable condition.

Meanwhile, the other motorist sustained unspecified injuries but declined medical attention.

The wreck resulted in the closure of the intersection temporary as investigation and clean-up took place.
