Sylmar Collision on Interstate 5 Freeway near Roxford Street Injures One Person

Sylmar, California (December 17, 2020) – A driver was hospitalized after being involved in a multi-vehicle collision Thursday morning in Sylmar.
The crash, involving a tanker truck, occurred at around 2:15 a.m. on the northbound Golden State (5) Freeway near the Roxford Street exit.
It was not immediately established how the truck and two other cars crashed.
Due to the impact, the big rig upturned onto its side, and a white 4-door Scion was on its roof.
Meanwhile, it seemed a gray sedan crashed with the truck and escaped the crash site.
3 Vehicles Involved in Sylmar Accident
The California Highway Patrol said the truck driver was hospitalized following the mishap.
The wreck resulted in the closure of the northbound stretch of the freeway for about four hours.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
