Brentwood, California (June 30, 2021) – Authorities have identified the woman who was killed Sunday afternoon in a car crash at an intersection in Brentwood as Susan Lovospastor, 72, of Knightsen.

The deadly two-car collision, which was reported at around 3:39 p.m. Sunday, June 27, happened at the intersection of Brentwood Boulevard and Grant Street.

Police said one of the vehicles was heading westbound on Grant Street while the other was traveling northbound on Brentwood Boulevard.

For an unknown reason, the two vehicles collided at the Brentwood intersection. Both vehicles sustained major damage following the crash.

Woman Killed in Brentwood Car Crash Identified

Lovospastor, who was the driver of the westbound vehicle, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle sustained major injuries and was taken to a nearby hospital.

The two drivers were sole occupants of their vehicles, authorities said. It is undetermined if intoxication played a role in the collision.

The crash prompted the officers to temporarily close the intersection of Brentwood Boulevard and Grant Street until around 11:00 p.m. as they conduct an investigation.
