Man Killed, Susan Chenot Arrested after Fresno Skateboard Crash at Cedar and Ashlan Streets
Fresno, California (August 12, 2019) – A driver was arrested following a hit-and-run collision that left a skateboard rider dead on Saturday night in Central Fresno, according to authorities.
The collision happened at about midnight on Saturday, August 10, at Cedar and Ashlan streets.
Police said a man was riding a skateboard when a vehicle struck him and threw him into a street pole.
The driver of the vehicle fled the scene after the crash.
The victim, who was not immediately identified, died in the collision.

Police were given tips that led them to northwest Fresno, where they found the driver and the vehicle involved.
The driver, identified as Susan Chenot, 56, was taken into custody on suspicion of hit-and-run.
The crash is under investigation.
