Major Injuries Reported in Sun Valley Motorcycle Crash on 5 Freeway and 210 Freeway
Sun Valley, California (January 18, 2019) – Major injuries were reported after a traffic collision Friday morning in the area of Sun Valley, Los Angeles County, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The accident happened at around 10:18 a.m. Friday on southbound 5 Freeway, just south of 210 Freeway.
As per the CHP officials, a motorcycle and a black pickup truck crashed for reasons still under investigation. The impact sent the rider underneath the vehicle in the HOV lane.
An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the injured parties. The number of victims and their current condition remained unknown.
Authorities issued a SigAlert closing lane 1, 2 and the HOV lane following the accident. All lanes were re-opened as of 11:31 a.m.
