Sun Valley, California (November 30, 2020) – One person was trapped in a vehicle after a two-car crash that happened early Sunday morning in Sun Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.
The crash transpired at about 5:41 a.m. on northbound 5 Freeway, just north of Sunland Boulevard.
A white box truck and a black or dark-blue sport-style sedan collided for unknown reasons.
An occupant of one of the vehicles was trapped inside, and firefighters had to use the Jaws of Life to free them.
All northbound lanes were temporarily closed to allow a rescue operation.
At least one person sustained unspecified injuries, and an ambulance was requested to offer medical aid.
The cause of the crash remained unknown, but CHP is investigating.
