Stockton, California (September 24, 2020) – A pedestrian was seriously injured after being hit and stuck under a vehicle Wednesday evening at an intersection in Stockton.

According to a report by the California Highway Patrol, the pedestrian was crossing the street at Belmont Place and Sheridan Way when, for unknown reasons, they were hit by a green Jeep at around 6:21 p.m.

The victim got stuck under the vehicle for several minutes before being freed.

The pedestrian sustained serious injuries, and an ambulance was dispatched to transport them to the hospital.

The victim’s family responded to the scene.
