Stockton, CA: Major Injury Crash I-5 at Downing Avenue Off-Ramp
At Least One Seriously Injured in Stockton Rollover Crash on Interstate 5
Stockton, California (October 31, 2019) – At least one person was seriously injured Thursday evening when two vehicles collided on 5 Freeway in Stockton, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash took place at about 6:43 p.m. on the northbound side of Interstate 5, just south of Downing Avenue.
According to the report, two vehicles collided, causing one of them to flip over.
CHP officers stated that at least one person suffered major injuries in the crash. The cause of the collision was not immediately determined.
Both lanes of the freeway were shut down as crews worked to clear lots of small debris that was scattered on the roadway.
The accident remains under investigation.
