CHP Officer Among 2 Injured in Stockton Crash on Interstate 5

Stockton, California (January 28, 2021) – A California Highway Patrol officer and one other person were injured in an alleged DUI accident on Thursday morning in Stockton, authorities said.
The accident happened at about 7:00 a.m. on Interstate 5, north of Highway 4.
According to the police, the CHP officer was on the right shoulder of northbound Interstate 5, helping the driver of a broken-down vehicle when a man driving an Audi lost control of the car.
Unfortunately, the Audi struck a Chevy, causing minor damage, before hitting the CHP officer and a Ford, the officials said.
2 Injured in Crash on Interstate 5
The CHP officer and the driver of the Ford sustained minor injuries and were taken to a hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Audi, Anthony P. Apodaca, 39, was arrested on suspicion of DUI.
An investigation into the accident is underway.
