Oroville, California (January 23, 2019) – 69-year-old Steve McCrory and 67-year-old Cynthia McCrory were critically injured after a head-on collision Sunday evening at a highway in Oroville, according to a local news source.
The accident happened at around 6:30 p.m. Sunday, January 20, on Highway 70 just south of Cox Lane.
As per the report, a white vehicle was traveling north on Highway 70 at a speed of more than 90 mph when it entered a right-hand curve, spun out of control and crashed head-on with a southbound car McCrory’s were riding in.
First responders rushed Steve to Enloe Medical Center with a shattered pelvic bone and facial structures while Cynthia was transported to Rideout Memorial Hospital with broken ribs and internal bleeding.
The two victims were listed in a critical condition at the hospital.
Authorities confirmed that the 20-year-old driver of the speeding car was killed in the collision while the passenger identified as 18-year-old Crystall Smith of Brownsville was hospitalized with severe injuries.
No additional information concerning this incident was provided.
