Sterling Dabner Killed in Petaluma Crash on Lakeville Highway
Petaluma, California (November 4, 2019) – 59-year-old Sterling Dabner of Petaluma has been identified as the person killed after a traffic crash on Friday afternoon in the area of Petaluma, Sonoma County, according to a local news source.
The deadly collision happened at about 2:30 p.m. Friday, November 1, near Old Lakeville Highway Road No. 1.
As per the report, Dabner was driving a Jeep when he crashed into a Cal Fire Chevrolet Tahoe for unknown reasons. The impact ejected Dabner and he was declared dead at the scene by responding firefighters.
Fatal Crash near Old Lakeville Highway Road
The Cal Fire Tahoe driver was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital for treatment of moderate injuries. The name of the patient and their current condition were not immediately provided.
Authorities closed the roadway for several hours to give way to an on-scene investigation.
An investigation is underway.
