Woman Killed in Stanton Pedestrian Accident on Katella Avenue near Date Street

Stanton, California (April 21, 2021) – A pedestrian died after being struck by a vehicle Tuesday night in Stanton, according to a local news source.
At around 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, emergency personnel responded to the 7600 block of Katella Avenue near Date Street to investigate the report of a woman that was hit by a vehicle.
As per the report, a vehicle was traveling on Katella Avenue when it struck the woman who was possibly outside of a crosswalk.
Deadly Stanton Pedestrian Accident on Katella Avenue
First responders arrived at the location and found the woman lying in the roadway. Sadly, she was pronounced dead at the scene despite life-saving measures performed by medical personnel. Her name has not been disclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The involved driver was transported to a nearby hospital for a DUI test. At this time, it remains unknown if the driver was under the influence of alcohol or drugs at the time of the accident.
Police closed Katella Avenue and Date Street following the accident.
An investigation into the crash is ongoing.
