1 Killed in South Lake Tahoe Multi-Vehicle Accident on Highway 50

South Lake Tahoe, California (September 7, 2019) – At least one person was killed in a traffic collision involving a big rig in the area of South Lake Tahoe on Saturday morning.
The fatal collision happened at around 11:45 a.m. September 7, on Highway 50 near Elks Club Road.
A big rig collided with the other two vehicles of unspecified built on the roadway for unknown reasons. Due to the impact, the big rig caught fire.
1 Killed After South Lake Tahoe Multi-Vehicle Crash
One person was confirmed dead at the scene following the wreck. The name of the deceased has not yet been released.
The crash resulted in the closure of all lanes of Highway 50 for an unspecified time.
The investigation is underway.
