Pilot Injured in Schellville Plane Crash at 8th Street East and Knolle Bros

Sonoma County, California (May 3, 2019) – A pilot was injured when a small airplane crashed Friday afternoon near the Sonoma Skypark public airport, according to a local news source.
The crash was reported at about 1:15 p.m. at 8th Street East and Knolle Bros in Schellville and involved an S10S motor-glider.

Authorities said the pilot overshot the runway while landing at the airport. The plane struck a tree and landed on the road.
The pilot, who was the only person on board, sustained minor injuries.
Authorities shut down roads near Sonoma Skypark, which is located 21870 8th St. East as they worked to clear the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
