Sonoma County, California (June 8, 2021) – At least one person was seriously injured Monday afternoon in a two-vehicle crash at an intersection in Sonoma County, according to a report by the California Highway Patrol.
The major injury collision was reported at around 4:19 p.m. Monday, June 7, at the intersection of Highway 116 and Arnold Drive.
A white Chevrolet pickup truck possibly collided head-on with a dark gray Honda Accord at the intersection, the CHP report.
The impact caused one of the vehicles to drift off the roadway.
One patient was transported to a local hospital with major injuries. The name and condition of the victim were not immediately released.
Highway 116 was closed in both directions at Arnold Drive during the investigation.
No further details regarding the crash were immediately provided.
