Sonoma, California (May 28, 2020) – One person was hospitalized Wednesday morning following a traffic accident in Sonoma, according to a California Highway Patrol report.
The crash happened at around 7:12 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, on Highway 12 at Watmaugh Road.
According to the CHP, a blue or gray Subaru Forester collided with a silver Toyota 4Runner SUV on the roadway for unknown reasons. After the impact, both vehicles veered off to the side of the road.

One person was pinned inside the Subaru and had to be extricated by emergency crews. The patient was then taken to a hospital with moderate injuries.
The westbound lanes were closed following the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
