1 Hospitalized after Sonoma Car Crash on Highway 37 near Highway 121

Sonoma, California (January 18, 2021) – One person was hospitalized with severe injuries after a two-car crash that happened Monday evening in Sonoma, the California Highway Patrol said.
The incident happened at about 6:18 p.m. on eastbound Highway 37, just east of Highway 121.
As per the report, the crash involved a gray Toyota 4Runner and a red Mitsubishi Eclipse.
The cause and manner of the crash remained unknown. The Eclipse acquired major front-end damage, and its airbags were deployed in the crash.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene and transported a passenger of one of the vehicles to Queen of the Valley Hospital, Napa, for treatment of facial trauma. The driver of the vehicle was also at the hospital but was not admitted, the report said.
Authorities are investigating to determine the cause of the crash.
