Solano County Collision on State Route 37 near State Route 29 Injures 2 Victims

Solano County, California (January 17, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of a car accident that took place Saturday afternoon in Solano County.
The 4:00 p.m. collision occurred on State Route 37, near State Route 29, on January 16.
The accident happened when a 34-year-old man driving a 1998 Chevrolet Corvette, racing another automobile on the westbound side of the interstate, lost control near SR 29 for unknown reasons.
The Corvette then slammed into the concrete barrier and burst into flames.
Major Injury Solano County Crash on State Route 37
The driver was trapped inside the wreckage and had to be extricated. He sustained major injuries following the wreck.
A person riding in the Corvette as a passenger survived with minor injuries.
Paramedics rushed both victims to an area hospital for further medication.
Authorities are still investigating to determine the cause of the accident.
