18-Year Old Driver Dies, 3 Teens Hospitalized after Solano County Crash on Tremont Road near Bulkley Road
Solano County, California (April 18, 2021) – An alleged DUI crash has claimed the life of an 18-year-old driver Saturday night in Solano County and left three other people injured, authorities said.
The deadly single-vehicle accident happened at around 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 17, on Tremont Road, just east of Bulkley Road and south of Davis, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP said a black Ford Mustang was speeding on Tremont Road when the driver made unsafe turning movement and the vehicle veered into a field before it rolled over.
Deadly Car Accident on Tremont Road in Solano County
As the Mustang was overturning, the 18-year-old driver and right back-seat passenger were ejected from the vehicle.
According to the CHP, the driver was declared dead at the scene while the ejected passenger, an 18-year-old, was transported to UC Davis Medical Center with major injuries.
Two other passengers, a 16-year-old and 17-year-old, were transported to Kaiser Vacaville with major injuries. The names of the deceased and the injured parties have not been disclosed.
Alcohol was considered a factor in the accident.
The crash remains under investigation.
