Injuries Reported in Shingletown Crash on Volcanic Legacy Scenic Highway
Shingletown, California (March 9, 2019) – A driver was injured in a head-on collision on Friday afternoon in Shingletown, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The collision was reported at about 1:45 p.m. March 8, on the Volcanic Legacy Scenic Highway, between Eskimo Hill and the Lassen Park Entrance.
Police said a driver in a sedan lost control of the vehicle and traveled into the path of oncoming traffic, colliding head-on with a pickup.
One of the drivers was trapped in the wreckage and was extricated by the firefighters.
According to the report, one person was bleeding, but the extent of the injuries was not released.
No further details on the crash were released.
The collision remains under investigation.
