Shingle Springs, California (May 25, 2019) – One person was injured Thursday evening in a traffic accident at a Shingle Springs intersection, according to a local news source.

The crash, which was reported at around 5:47 p.m. Thursday, May 23, happened in the area of Latrobe and Sun Ridge Meadow roads.

CHP said for an undetermined reason a white Toyota Corolla collided with a silver Honda CRV at the Shingle Springs intersection.

Emergency crews responded to the scene and rendered aid to at least one person who sustained minor injuries in the crash. It was immediately unclear if the victim was transported to a hospital for further treatment.

The name and condition of the patient at this time were not provided.

The crash caused the closure of the intersection but was reopened an hour later. An investigation into the accident is underway.
