2 Motorcyclist Among 3 Injured in Shields Crash on Interstate 5
Los Banos, California (June 25, 2021) – Authorities are investigating a Thursday motorcycle accident that left three people injured including two motorcyclists in Los Banos.
The major injury accident occurred on June 25, on Interstate 5.
According to the California Highway Patrol, an elderly man was driving his Subaru Forester northbound on the roadway when he struck two motorcyclists head-on who were headed southbound.
The crash impact sent the riders, a man and a woman, onto the roadway. The Subaru caught fire and the elderly man was able to escape from the burning car.
3 Injured in Crash on Interstate 5
The two motorcyclists sustained major injuries and were flown to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately released.
The crash remains under investigation.
