Man Seriously Injured in Shelltown Motorcycle Accident at Osborne Street and Marine View Avenue near Interstate 5 Entrance
Shelltown, California (July 3, 2021) – A motorcyclist was hit and seriously injured by an SUV Friday afternoon in Shelltown, according to authorities.
The major injury collision occurred at around 12:15 p.m. Friday, July 2, at the intersection of Osborne Street and Marine View Avenue near exit and entrance ramps to northbound Interstate 5.
Authorities said a 32-year-old man was riding a Kawasaki motorcycle northbound on Osborn Street when a Nissan Cube pulled in front of him.
The motorcyclist attempted to avoid the SUV but could not avoid the crash and was hit by the SUV.
The rider was partially pinned underneath the SUV and had to be freed by bystanders.
Major Injury Motorcycle Accident in Shelltown
The man sustained a broken left femur and was transported to a nearby hospital. His name and current condition were disclosed.
