Shavonia Armstrong Fatal Motorcycle Crash at 24th Street and Wah Avenue in Sacramento
Shavonia Armstrong ID’d as Motorcyclist Killed in Sacramento Accident Thursday evening at 24th Street and Wah Avenue
Sacramento, California (March 8, 2019) – The motorcyclist who was killed Thursday evening in a traffic crash in Sacramento has been identified as Shavonia Armstrong, 45, according to authorities.
The deadly wreck was reported at about 6:30 p.m. Thursday, March 7 in the area of 24th Street and Wah Avenue near Woodbine Park.
Authorities said a vehicle was traveling southbound on 24th Street when it made a turn onto Wah Avenue and collided with a motorcycle carrying Armstrong and another person, who were heading northbound on 24th Street.
Medical personnel responded to the scene and declared Armstrong deceased at the scene of the accident. The other motorcyclist sustained life-threatening and was taken to a hospital.
24th Street and Wah Avenue were blocked as police investigated the crash. As of 10:30 p.m., the road was reopened.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
