Shasta County, CA: Deadly Collision on Black Butte Road at Wildcat Road
1 Killed, 5 Injured in Shingletown Crash on Black Butte Road at Wildcat Road

Shasta County, California (June 29, 2021) – One person died, and several others were injured when two cars collided head-on in Shingletown, Shasta County, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The wreck occurred at around 11:45 a.m. on Black Butte Road at Wildcat Road.
CHP said the crash happened when a man driving a Honda Pilot south on Black Butte crossed the double yellow line at a blind curve and collided head-on into a Honda Odyssey.
The crash left the driver of the Pilot dead.
Five occupants of the Odyssey suffered minor to moderate injuries.
Authorities shut down the road for about two hours as they investigated.
