Shane Nygard Jr ID’d as Man Killed in Concord Pedestrian Crash on Arnold Industrial Way
Concord, California (April 2, 2019) – The man who was struck and killed by a vehicle in Concord on Friday evening has been identified as Shane Nygard Jr, 23, of Concord, according to the Contra Costa County coroner’s office.
The incident happened on Arnold Industrial Way east of Laura Alice Way at about 6:58 p.m. March 29.
Concord police said Nygard Jr was in the roadway when he was hit by a vehicle traveling westbound on Arnold Industrial Way.

Nygard Jr succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved, a 71-year-old Pacheco man, remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigators.
Alcohol and drugs were not believed to have played a role in the crash, police said.
The incident is under investigation.
