Several Hospitalized after End-Of-Pursuit Accident at Highway 41 and McKinley Avenue in Fresno
Multiple People Injured in Fresno Crash at Highway 41 and McKinley Avenue; Naymond Trotter Arrested
Fresno, California (April 4, 2019) – Several people were injured after a police chase ended in a major traffic crash near Fresno City College Wednesday evening, according to police.
The wreck took place at about 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 3 near the intersection of Highway 41 and McKinley Avenue.
Police said the officers were in chase of a woman and man when the pursuit ended in a four-vehicle accident near the intersection.
Several people were taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Naymond Trotter Arrested after Police Chase Accident near Fresno City College Wednesday
One occupant of the car in the pursuit, identified as Naymond Trotter, 33, fled the scene after the crash and headed to a nearby 7-Eleven where he pushed customers out of the way and tried to steal a bolted down cash register.
Authorities said the store clerk ran to the back of the store. Trotter was later located in a residential neighborhood near McKinley Avenue and Fresno Street, where he was arrested and booked into custody.
According to the authorities, Trotter is a parolee who served time for burglaries and is now facing several felonies stemming from this incident.
The woman, who was the driver of the car in the pursuit, was transported to a hospital. She is also facing criminal charges.
No other details were immediately provided.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
