Sespe Gorge, California (July 19, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Sunday afternoon motorcycle accident that killed one person and left two others injured in Sespe Gorge.
The fatal crash happened at about 12:15 p.m. on Highway 33 in Los Padres National Forest above Ojai. Highway 33 is also known as Maricopa Highway.
As per the California Highway Patrol report, the crash involved a white Jeep Grand Cherokee, two Ducatis, and a Yamaha. The manner at which the crash occurred is yet to be established.
Motorcyclist Killed in Traffic Collision on Highway 33 in Sespe Gorge
One motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other riders sustained minor injuries. One was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
