Selma, CA: CHP Investigating Hit-and-Run Collision at South Avenue and Del Rey Avenue

Selma, California (April 9, 2021)  The California Highway Patrol is investigating the cause of an alleged hit-and-run collision that left one person hurt in Selma Wednesday evening.

The CHP responded to the crash site shortly before 7 p.m. near South Avenue and Del Rey Avenue just west of Del Rey Avenue.

The accident involved a blue sedan and at least one other automobile that crashed near the intersection for reasons still under investigation.

Selma Collision Injures One Person

One victim, whose name was not immediately released, was rushed to the Community Regional Medical Center for treatment of unspecified injuries.

Meanwhile, one of the involved motorists escaped the scene after the mishap but was later caught by a Good Samaritan

Officials closed down South Avenue as they investigated and cleared the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
