Santa Ysabel, CA: Fatal Rollover Crash on Highway 78
1 Person Killed in Santa Ysabel Truck Accident on Highway 78 near Highway 79
Santa Ysabel, California (September 23, 2020) – One person was killed in a rollover pickup truck accident on Tuesday afternoon in Santa Ysabel, authorities said.
The crash happened at about 2:00 p.m., on September 22, in the 30200 block of Highway 78 near Highway 79.
According to the CHP, a Ford F-250 rolled over on the highway, northwest of Julian, in unclear circumstances.
First responders arrived at the scene and extricated the driver who was trapped in the damaged Ford.
Sadly, the trapped victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
