16-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after Santa Paula Bicycle Accident on West Santa Barbara Street
Santa Paula, California (September 25, 2020) – A teen bicyclist was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle Wednesday evening in Santa Paula, authorities said.
The bicycle accident happened at about 5:53 p.m. Wednesday, September 23, in the 100 block of West Santa Barbara Street.
According to the authorities, a 16-year-old boy was riding his bicycle on West Santa Barbara Street when, for an unknown reason, he was hit by a vehicle.
Major Injury Bicycle Accident in Santa Paula
The boy was taken to Ventura County Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition.
The driver of the vehicle stopped at the scene and cooperated with the police. Alcohol or drugs were not considered a factor in the crash.
The accident remains under investigation.
