Samohi Student Injured in Santa Monica Bicycle Crash near Santa Monica Public Library
Santa Monica, California (March 19, 2019) – A teenage girl was struck and injured by a vehicle while riding a bicycle on Sunday afternoon in Santa Monica, according to the police.
The incident happened in front of the Santa Monica Public Library along Santa Monica Boulevard at around 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 17.
Police said a Santa Monica High School student was riding a bicycle in the bike lane heading to an event at the library when the bus struck her.
Girl Injured in Santa Monica Bicycle Accident
The victim sustained a broken jaw and was conscious when she was being taken to a hospital.
There were no other injuries reported.
The Santa Monica Police Department is investigating the incident.
