Santa Maria, California (June 23, 2021) – Authorities are investigating the cause of an alleged hit-and-run collision that occurred Tuesday morning in Santa Maria

The two-vehicle collision happened on Highway 101 at approximately 5:15 a.m.

As per the report, a Honda Civic driven by a male party south on the highway collided head-on with a Ford Focus that was moving in the wrong direction on June 22.

The Civic operator sustained minor injuries and was rushed to an area hospital for medication.

Meanwhile, the driver of the Ford did not stop to render aid and escaped the crash site.

The accident remains under an active investigation.
