Man Seriously Hurt in Santa Fe Springs Pedestrian Accident at Florence and Shoemaker Avenues

Santa Fe Springs, California (September 16, 2019) – Authorities are investigating a hit-and-run pedestrian collision that happened on Friday night in the area of Santa Fe Springs, according to authorities.
The collision occurred at around 7:07 p.m. Friday, September 15, at Florence Avenue and Shoemaker Avenue.
As per the CHP officials, a man was found lying in the lanes with severe injuries. It was later determined by authorities the injuries suffered by the male pedestrian were due to a traffic collision.
Pedestrian Hit and Injured by Car at Florence and Shoemaker Avenues
The male pedestrian was treated at the crash site by medical personnel before being taken to Francis Medical Center for further treatment. The man whose name was not immediately released was listed in a critical condition.
Authorities did not locate any motorist at the scene when they arrived.
Witnesses told the officers that the involved vehicle appeared to be a Toyota Prius or a Honda Accord.
Officials are handling the incident as a hit-and-run crash.
