Rider Injured in Santa Cruz Motorcycle Accident at Portola Drive and 26th Avenue

Santa Cruz, California (August 15, 2020) – A motorcyclist was injured Wednesday afternoon in a traffic accident at an intersection in Santa Cruz, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 12:10 p.m. Wednesday, August 12, at the intersection of Portola Drive and 26th Avenue.
The CHP said an unidentified man was riding his motorcycle through the Santa Cruz intersection when, for unknown reasons, he collided with a Toyota Tacoma.
Emergency personnel responded to the scene and found the male rider lying down on the roadway.
The motorcyclist suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was treated at the scene by responding paramedics before transporting him to a hospital for further treatment. The name and condition of the patient were not immediately disclosed.
