Man Killed in Santa Barbara Accident on Cabrillo Boulevard at Milpas Street
Santa Barbara, California (December 9, 2020) – A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Santa Barbara, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened shortly after 1:00 p.m., on December 8, on Cabrillo Boulevard at Milpas Street along the Santa Barbara waterfront.
According to the police, a sedan went up onto the sidewalk and struck a palm tree.
First responders arrived at the scene and found the man with a weak pulse and difficulty breathing. He then went into cardiac arrest.
Efforts to revive him were not successful. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
It appeared the man had suffered a medical problem before the crash, the officials said.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
