4 Hospitalized after Santa Ana Crash on 5 Freeway near 1st Street

Santa Ana, California (June 8, 2019) – Four persons were hospitalized after a wrong-way collision early Saturday morning in the area of Santa Ana, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The crash happened at around 1:32 a.m. Saturday, on northbound 5 Freeway, just south of 1st Street.
As per the CHP officials, a white sedan and a black sedan collided head-on. The black sedan was traveling wrong-way before the crash.

An ambulance was sent to the scene to attend to the crash victims. Two persons were taken to Orange County Global Medical center while another two were transported to University of California, Irvine Medical Center for treatment.
The names of the victims and their current condition were not immediately known.
Tow trucks were requested to remove the vehicles from the crash site.
No additional details concerning this crash were provided.
