Santa Ana, California (March 25, 2019) – At least 5 people were transported to a hospital after being involved in a traffic collision in Santa Ana Saturday afternoon.

The two-vehicle collision, which was reported just before 2:45 p.m. March 23, occurred in the area of Bristol and Hesperian streets.

As per the Orange County Fire Department, two vehicles collided for an unknown reason at the intersection.

Three people were trapped inside one of the involved vehicles following the crash. The victims were extricated from the wreckage by the paramedics along with firefighters who responded to the scene shortly after the crash. The three extricated patients sustained minor injuries.

Two more parties in the same car suffered severe injuries as a result of the wreck. All the patients were transported to a hospital for medication.

The motorist in the other involved vehicle was not seriously hurt and was not hospitalized.

Meanwhile, an investigation to determine the cause of the accident is ongoing.
