San Rafael, California (March 24, 2021) – A traffic collision involving multiple vehicles in San Rafael Friday morning resulted in major injuries.
The California Highway Patrol responded to the scene at about 5:35 a.m., March 19, on Interstate 580 near Sir Francis Drake Boulevard
A white pickup truck reportedly slammed into the center divider along the interstate’s westbound side under unclear circumstances.
Due to the impact, the pickup caught fire, and two victims managed to get out of the wreckage.
A blue Honda CRV with broken two left-side tires, a Nissan sedan that had acquired damage to its left front tire, and a motorcycle with a broken rim were also located at the crash site.
San Rafael Crash Results in Major Injuries
At least one of the victims riding in the pickup truck sustained major injuries, while the other parties survived with minor injuries.
