15-Year-Old Boy Hospitalized after San Mateo Pedestrian Crash on Alameda De Las Pulgas and 31st Avenue

San Mateo, California (March 8, 2019) – A teenage boy was hospitalized after being struck by a vehicle in San Mateo on Thursday evening, according to a police report.
The incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. March 7 on Alameda De Las Pulgas and 31st Avenue.
According to a preliminary investigation, the 15-year-old boy was walking in the intersection when he was hit by a vehicle. The impact threw the boy onto the hood of the car before falling into the street.
The victim was transported to Stanford Medical Center with unknown injuries.
The driver involved remained at the scene.
The authorities are investigating the incident.
