San Mateo, CA: At Least 1 Hospitalized after Multi-Car Crash on Highway 101
Highway 101 Car Accident near East Hillsdale Boulevard On-Ramp in San Mateo
San Mateo, California (August 19, 2020) – At least one person was hospitalized after a multi-car accident that took place Tuesday afternoon in San Mateo.
As per a California Highway Patrol report, three vehicles collided just before 5:00 p.m. on northbound Highway 101, just north of East Hillsdale Boulevard on-ramp.
According to a Foster City Police Department detective who was at the scene, two parties were lying on concrete with the complaint of pain to the chest. Foster City PD also sent a marked unit to the scene.
CHP said at least one person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
A blue Toyota Scion involved in the crash was towed away with major front- and rear-end damage.
CHP is investigating the accident.
