Man Seriously Injured in San Mateo Hit-and-Run Accident at Tilton Avenue and North Humboldt Street

San Mateo, California (January 1, 2021) – A bicyclist was seriously injured after being struck by a hit-and-run motorist Friday morning in San Mateo, according to a local news source.
The accident was reported at about 9:33 a.m. in the area of Tilton Avenue and North Humboldt Street.
Authorities said a 68-year-old San Mateo man was riding a bicycle in the area when, for unknown reasons, he was hit by a vehicle near the intersection of Tilton Avenue and North Humboldt Street.
Male Bicyclist Injured After Being Hit by Car in San Mateo
The bicyclist sustained major injuries and was taken to a hospital for treatment. His name and current condition were not disclosed.
The involved driver did not stop to render aid to the victim and fled the scene. There was no description of the suspect’s vehicle or driver.
Police are still searching for the hit-and-run driver.
