35-Year-Old San Marcos Man Killed in Valley Center Crash on Valley Center Road near Rock Hill Ranch Road

Valley Center, California (November 17, 2020) – A 35-year-old man from San Marcos was killed in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday afternoon in Valley Center, authorities said.
The deadly accident happened at about 1:15 p.m. on Valley Center Road near Rock Hill Ranch Road.
According to the CHP, an Acura TL, driven by the 35-year-old man, was attempting to pass a slower-moving Toyota Highlander on the roadway.
Unfortunately, the Acura sideswiped the SUV, skidded off the roadway, and crashed into a power pole and a tree, the officials said.

Sadly, the San Marcos man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Toyota’s driver, a 35-year-old San Marcos woman, and six young children riding in her vehicle were not injured in the accident.
More details about the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
