Two Injured, William Meiborg Arrested after San Luis Obispo Crash on Olive Street
San Luis Obispo, California (October 1, 2019) – A driver who led police on a chase ended up crashing into another vehicle on Monday morning in San Luis Obispo, according to the CHP.
The wreck happened just after 11:14 a.m. September 30, on Olive Street near Highway 101.
CHP said a driver in a gray Hyundai was spotted by the authorities traveling the wrong way on Highway 101 north of Pismo Beach. The driver then turned to drive the right way and fled, initiating a chase with the CHP officers.
The suspect exited at Monterey Street then made a U-turn and traveled south on Highway 101. At Santa Rosa Street exit, the suspect exited and shortly after collided head-on with an oncoming sedan on Olive Street.
2 Injured in San Luis Obispo Chase and Crash on Olive Street
Two people riding in the sedan sustained minor injuries and were both transported to a hospital for treatment.
The suspect, later identified as William James Meiborg, 46, of Atsacadero, was arrested by the SLO police officers.
The incident is under investigation.
