Pedestrian Killed in San Leandro Crash on Hesperian Boulevard near Lewelling Boulevard
San Leandro, California (October 9, 2019) – A man was killed in a hit-and-run collision early Wednesday morning in San Leandro, according to the CHP.
The crash happened shortly after 12 a.m. on Hesperian Boulevard just north of Lewelling Boulevard.
CHP said the man was walking westbound in the northbound lanes of Hesperian Boulevard outside of the crosswalk when he was struck by a northbound vehicle.
Pedestrian Killed in San Leandro Hit-And-Run Crash
The driver fled the scene after the incident.
The victim died in the crash. His identity was not immediately released.
The CHP is searching for the hit-and-run driver.
