Person Killed in San Juan Capistrano Pedestrian Crash on San Diego (5) Freeway near Junipero Serra Road
San Juan Capistrano, California (March 24, 2019) – A person was struck and killed by a vehicle on Friday night in San Juan Capistrano, according to the CHP.
The crash occurred around 8:45 p.m. March 22, on the northbound San Diego (5) Freeway at the Junipero Serra Road off-ramp.
CHP said the pedestrian, suspected to be a juvenile boy, was running from the right side to the center divider when he was hit by a vehicle.
Pedestrian Hit and Killed in San Juan Capistrano
The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the vehicle involved remained at the scene.
The CHP is investigating the incident.
