Man Injured in San Jose Pedestrian Accident on I-880 near 10th Street
San Jose, California (May 19, 2019) – A homeless man sleeping in a tent off the highway was struck and injured by a vehicle on early Saturday morning in San Jose, according to the authorities.
The incident took place along Interstate 880 near 10th Street on Saturday, May 18.
The authorities said a man was sleeping at the encampment near 10sth street when a car driver lost control on the interstate and plowed into his tent camp.

The victim got trapped under the car and had to be freed by the firefighters who responded to the collision.
The victim was hospitalized with minor injuries.
The involved driver stayed at the scene after the incident.
Alcohol was not suspected to be a factor in the crash.
The incident is under investigation.
