33-Year-Old Woman Dies after San Jose Car Crash on Highway 101 near Bernal Road
San Jose, California (September 25, 2020) – Authorities are investigating a Wednesday night two-car accident that killed a 33-year-old woman from Los Gatos in San Jose.
At about 11:00 p.m., on September 23, the California Highway Patrol responded to the deadly traffic collision on Highway 101 near Bernal Road.
The CHP said the Los Gatos woman was traveling southbound on Highway 101 in a 2015 Honda when, for unknown reasons, her vehicle crossed into another lane where it crashed into the right side of a 2020 Honda that was also traveling southbound on the highway.
Following the collision, the 2015 Honda veered into the west shoulder and crashed into a tree, the officials said.

The 33-year-old woman succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
It was not clear if intoxication was a factor in the mishap.
The driver of the 2020 Honda remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities.
Further details regarding the accident were not immediately available.
The crash remains under investigation.
