3 Injured in San Jose Multi-Car Crash on Interstate 280 at 7th Street On-Ramp

San Jose, California (February 6, 2021) – Three people were sent to hospitals after a multi-vehicle collision that happened Friday afternoon in San Jose, the California Highway Patrol reported.
Three vehicles collided at about 4:39 p.m. on southbound Interstate 280 at the 7th Street on-ramp under unclear circumstances.
A tan Nissan Frontier pickup truck, a white Honda, and a gray Honda collided, blocking the Nos. 2 and 3 lanes.
Firefighters and paramedics responded to the scene to help the victims.
Three people sustained minor injuries in the crash. The victims were each transported to Kaiser Permanente Santa Clara Medical Center, O’Connor Hospital, and Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
The pickup truck acquired front-end damage and a detached tire. Both Hondas acquired rear-end damage. All vehicles were towed away from the collision scene.
CHP is investigating the cause of the collision.
